About the Managing Director

She is a highly skilled cyber (IT) law specialist, former public servant, an award-winning thought leader who founded Orizur Consulting Enterprise Pty Ltd in 2017. Her background is in cyber law, public sector ICT regulations, ICT governance, research and policy development.

Her current function is Cyber Security and Governance Specialist; tasked to assist organisations to create a regulatory compliant and maintain a sustainable cyber secure environment. As the Lead Specialist, she has pioneered unique solutions that creatively bring together cyber security governance, ICT procurement, and contract management. These solutions are aimed at enabling clients to minimise cyber security risks, reduce financial risks; whilst providing clients with the ability to achieve sustainable regulatory compliance.

She has nearly two decades of experience working in a multi-disciplinary Cyber Law space; from navigating the regulatory environment to supply chain and ICT procurement to contract management to ICT governance. In the 3½ years that she was tasked to administer the public service ICT transversal procurement, she persistently demonstrated thought leadership and became the first public servant to successfully lead and facilitate the replacement of the evergreen transversal contracts that stifled competition.

An advocate of good governance, she assisted stakeholders to achieve regulatory compliance by raising awareness and providing them with training on existing regulatory prescripts. Stakeholders were further empowered to comprehend ICT procurement processes and cyber regulatory requirements. In essence, she contributed significantly to the improvement of the public service ICT procurement in terms of strategic thinking, approach, and pioneering the development and implementation of the latest sourcing strategy for ICT procurement.

She has further provided thought leadership in the coordination, development, and review of various government IT policies including inter alia the Information Society and Development Plan, and the Policy on Free and Open Source Software, 2007; government-wide enterprise architecture (GWEA), 2010; minimum interoperability standards (MIOS), 2007 and 2016; the Green IT Policy Framework, 2013 and e-waste guidelines, which currently form an integral part of the public sector ICT procurement processes.

She also served as the secretariat for the Government IT Officers Council (GITOC), secretariat of FOSS Directors General Steering Committee, and FOSSFA (FOSS Foundation of Africa) Secretariat during the period 2006-2008.

She has been awarded with the ICT Transformation Award: Women in ICT Award Category 2016 and a finalist for the All About Public Procurement (AAPP) Awards: Professional of the Year Award category 2016. She is featured in the African Women in Cyber Security Book, published in 2019 and a Nominee of the inaugural Top 50 Women in Cyber Security Africa 2019/2020.
